How to Care for your Tile:

Tile is easy to clean - simply wipe it with a damp sponge mop using a bit of soap less detergent in warm water. Soaps aren't recommended, since they can leave a film that dulls the surface and promotes mildew. Avoid steel wool-type pads, which can leave loose particles of steel on the grout and cause rust stains. Also avoid acid cleaners, including vinegar, which can discolour grout and damage the surface polish of marble. The most important factor in maintaining a glazed tile is to keep the floor free of sand or other gritty materials that can act as an abrasive.

Another important aspect of ceramic tile maintenance is using grout sealer. Grout sealer contains a silicone emulsion which provides water repellence and protects against staining on grout, cement and porous tile. It helps prevent soap scum buildup on glazed ceramic tile. Use grout sealer on all interior and exterior porous and glazed tile, grout, cement, slate, etc.
